Navigate progress with clarity
Keeping up-to-date with the Australian renewable energy landscape is now easier and more relevant thanks to a new partnership between Nearmap and RenewMap. While some energy decision-makers are still stuck with out-of-date, incomplete project views, RenewMap is providing a more accurate, up-to-date nationwide view of Australia’s renewable energy projects by enabling Nearmap subscribers to activate Nearmap imagery in the RenewMap platform.
RenewMap cuts the time needed to comb through complex data sources, providing a user-friendly interface with answers for more than 3,500 renewable energy projects.
Information includes details about infrastructure, networks, commercial and regulatory factors, and crucially, timelines. If the imagery doesn’t match the timeline, it’s more difficult to accurately assess the current project status. Greater accuracy helps reduce the risk of oversight or error.
RenewMap co-founder and Director Alex Thompson said about the new level of ground truth that Nearmap brings the RenewMap platform: “Whether our users are prospecting for new energy sites, tracking construction progress or analyzing industry trends, this integration means better data, less uncertainty, and more confident outcomes.”
