Right now, however, that desk is more than likely to be at home, or somewhere else, secluded as best as possible from the spread of COVID-19.

WORKING FROM HOME, AT SCALE
We’re a technology company. We provide our content online and we enable our staff to work flexibly too. Working remotely? Not a problem. At this kind of scale? That’s new. For all of us.
Working from home (WFH) used to be a perk, a time for focus, or a flexible work arrangement — part of the mix in a modern business environment. Now offices are closed and all desks are empty. This is WFH at scale. This is what it feels like to have the whole world logging in from ‘somewhere else’.
How do businesses stay productive when the entire workforce is off-site? We won’t pretend to have all the answers, but will share this: companies are not made up of offices, they’re made up of people.

Q: Will the delivery of Nearmap content be affected?
A: Our web-application MapBrowser and access to Nearmap content and tools via APIs are unaffected by the COVID-19 situation. We don’t expect any impact to access or service delivery. Flights and surveys are also scheduled to continue as usual.
Q: What has Nearmap done to ensure business continuity in light of COVID-19 risks?
A: We’re keeping our employees informed of the guidance on exercising prevention measures issued by the World Health Organization (WHO). All Nearmap employees worldwide have access to secure remote working technology and collaboration tools, enabling them to continue to work and deliver for our customers.
