In 2019, Nearmap took our first-ever customer event to three Australian cities. More than 800 customers came together to experience our newest product innovations and share insights from Nearmap users across a wide range of industries.
This year, for obvious reasons, we're doing things differently. Nearmap NAVIG8 2020 will be our first virtual event, streaming to you wherever you are on 6 August. So, while we can't offer the top notch catering enjoyed last year, we can guarantee you'll be informed, inspired and entertained with our event agenda.
Australia’s Head of Content at Nearmap, Nicole Manktelow has been busy with our team planning the stories that will be shared at NAVIG8 2020. "We may be far apart, but technology will help us to deliver an intimate experience for all attendees," says Nicole. "Delegates will hear from a diverse array of customers and experts from around the world in sessions designed to spark curiosity, inspiration and participation. Although it’s a digital event, we’re providing hands-on experience and ensuring each session gives attendees insight into the latest cutting-edge location technologies and how these are transforming the way we work."
Truth is in the detail at Nearmap NAVIG8 2020. Check out our teaser video that sets the pace for our live stream and on-demand customer event:
Nearmap NAVIG8 2020 kicks off at midday on 6 August with our keynote presentation from the Nearmap studio in Sydney, Australia. We’ll hear from Nearmap CEO, Dr. Rob Newman, in a visionary address on this year's theme – Truth Is In The Detail – and how Nearmap provides extraordinary ways to see, understand and use that detail. With fascinating, real-world use cases, Rob will look at how our customers and partners are utilising detail at scale to inform planning, manage infrastructure, enhance workflows and drive business success.
Rob will be joined in the studio by Dr. Michael Bewley, senior director of Artificial Intelligence systems here at Nearmap for a special deep dive into Nearmap AI and the practical ways it can be applied to your workflows.
"Last year we challenged attendees to imagine how AI technology can change their businesses. This year, we have an exciting tour of the newly available Nearmap AI product, with concrete use cases and inspiring examples from innovative customers,” says Michael. “Attend the live stream to ensure you get the full experience!"
Our live stream keynote address is titled 'Finding the Truth is Just the Beginning'. And it is the beginning in more ways than one. There will be a live Q&A via Twitter during the keynote, just #AskNearmap. Registered event delegates can then access on-demand breakout sessions. Watch just one or binge on them all. You'll find each session is packed with customer stories, interviews, thought-provoking demonstrations and more, to inform and inspire your work.
Whether you're future-proofing the cities of tomorrow or building a rooftop solar business, our breakout sessions offer something for every industry. In 'Reimagining the Project Development Lifecycle', join us on a virtual trip to New York City to see how location intelligence can turbocharge a project lifecycle from conception to completion.
'The Future of Analysis and Claims' session explores how Nearmap location capture and data is enabling innovation in insurance underwriting and claims, making a difference for insurers and policy holders alike. Even if you're not involved in insurance, this session provides a fascinating insight into how the future potential of Nearmap technology and data can be harnessed.
Other sessions provide a special focus and insight to government planning and Smart Cities, the roofing industry, global trends in solar selling, and how public safety and emergency response organisations rely on Nearmap data, especially during this year's extreme weather and fire events.
