NearMap Pricing
NearMap’s groundbreaking technology has changed the economics of creating and updating high resolution aerial PhotoMaps and terrain data. Sourcing these PhotoMaps from other providers would normally cost more than $100 per square kilometre for out of date imagery. For a fraction of this cost, NearMap offers Australia’s most current overhead and oblique PhotoMaps and terrain data and the unique ability to watch them change over time.
Commercial Pricing
Almost all commercial users can use our PhotoMaps for free under the Free Commercial Licence unless your use is material, excessive, competitive or for your government clients. If you need a Paid Commercial Licence, contact us to discuss your specific requirements and pricing.
Our on-request PhotoMaps enable you to tailor our PhotoMaps to suit your frequency, resolution and coverage needs.
On-Request PhotoMaps
If we haven’t yet captured a PhotoMap of the area you’re interested in, or our existing PhotoMaps of your area do not suit your requirements, you can request a licence for On-Request PhotoMaps of that area, and we will add them to our website.
This means you can select the frequency, resolution and size of the On-Request PhotoMaps, enabling you to tailor our PhotoMaps to suit your particular purposes. Contact us for exact pricing of an On-Request PhotoMap licence.
Technical and Integration Information
- PhotoMaps are precision rectified and georeferenced orthophoto mosaics
- We currently achieve 50cm RMS accuracy without requiring any ground control, allowing us to capture even the most remote areas.

- NearMap supports the WMS (Web Map Server) service protocol, which is often used by GIS and CAD applications. The WMS service is available free to paid Government agencies. It is also available to Paid Commercial Licence users, and to Free Commercial Licence users who have paid the $5,500 (excluding taxes) yearly WMS service access fee
