How to turn on Javascript

You may not get the best experience from this site if javascript support has not been enabled on your web browser. (Note: Java and JavaScript are NOT the same. They are completely different and independent, so the settings for one does not affect the other.)

1. Identify what browser you are using

To determine the browser version you are using:

  • PC users — from the browser's Help menu choose the last item labelled "About [browser name]..."
  • Macintosh users — go to the application name menu or the Apple menu and select the first item labelled "About [browser name]...".

2. Follow the instructions below

Internet Explorer – IE6.x, IE7
  1. Select Tools from Explorer’s top menu bar.
  2. Select Internet Options.
  3. Select the Security tab.
  4. Select Internet zone.
  5. Change the Security level
    For a typical setup – Change the zone’s Security level by moving the slider to Medium or Medium-high,
    For advanced users, you can
    a. choose Custom level.
    b. This opens a Security Settings - Internet Zone window.
    c. Scroll to Active scripting in the Scripting section and select Enable.
  6. Click OK.
Mozilla Firefox – ver 2.x, ver 3.x
  1. Open the Option preferences
    * Windows Users – From the menu bar select Tools, then choose Options
    * Macintosh Users – From the Firefox menu, select Preferences
  2. Select the Content icon.
  3. Check the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox.
  4. Click the Advanced button to open the Advanced Javascript Options box.
  5. Check all the boxes under Allow scripts to and click OK.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Reload the page you were trying to view if it was the map page, click here.
Opera – ver 9.x+
  1. Select Preferences from the Tools menu.
  2. Select Content in the Preferences list.
  3. Check the box next to Enable Javascript.
  4. Select the Javascript Options
  5. Check the options you want to allow and click OK.
  6. Click OK.
Safari – ver 2x+
  1. Select Preferences from the Safari menu.
  2. Select the Security icon.
  3. Check the box for Enable JavaScript next to the Web Content section.
  4. Close the Preferences window.
  5. Close and restart Safari.
  6. Reload the page you were trying to view.

3. My browser is not listed above. What should I do?

It appears we are not supporting the browser you are currently using. Read the browsers requirements for more details.
