You may have visited the map page and tried to find a street, to discover that it is missing or it is unfinished. You can edit this street and we welcome your contribution! Have a look at some tips on keeping the community area friendly and here is how you can get involved.

Edit the map

We value the fact that you have a great awareness of the neighbourhood you live in. You can use this knowledge to improve the maps, and make them more useful to you and your neighbours. You can edit streets that don't look quite right or add streets that aren't yet included on the map. You can also add restaurants, bus stops, parks, shops, etc that are not yet marked, to make the map more accurately and usefully reflect the environment you live in.

You don’t need to have studied cartography to edit the maps! We will be adding editing features into this site, but for now, you can create an OpenStreetMap (OSM) account or login to OSM and start editing! The new information you provide there will be available to the public immediately, and will be displayed on the map page as soon as the data gets transferred from OSM.

Add an interesting find

The high resolution PhotoMaps can sometimes reveal startling details that are not visible in ordinary aerial maps. These PhotoMaps can help us understand our surroundings better and allow us to monitor the way our Earth is changing. Examples of such finds include huge rip tides, coastal erosion, crop circles, fire damage, spotting of a Sperm whale, roof advertising, etc. We collate these finds in our Top Finds. If you spot something unusual or interesting within the PhotoMaps, share it with us via twitter or facebook. so we can add it to the list!
